The arbitration decisions at the summit meeting between Ahly and Zamalek sparked wide discussions among Egyptian football fans, especially after the red Genie won a clean double in the sixth round of the Egyptian Premier League Championship at the Cairo International Stadium.
The former international referee “Mohammed Farouk” came out to clarify the reality of the controversial cases witnessed in the confrontation, especially the claim for a White penalty and the legitimacy of the second goal of Al-Ahly, and explained his detailed vision of those balls, confirming the integrity of most of the decisions of the arbitral staff who managed the decisive meeting, and said: “Zamalek does not deserve a penalty kick in front of Al-Ahly, and there is no violation that requires a penalty kick in favor of Chico Panza in Ashraf dari’s interference against him.
He added: “Chico Panza wanted to get a penalty kick, but the ball has no error and it makes no sense every friction or push is counted as a penalty kick, Al Ahly’s second goal is correct and there is no friction to be counted as an error, and the referee gave a good meeting and I hoped that the match would be managed by an Egyptian referee.
