فجرت “إلما أفيرو”، شقيقة النجم البرتغالي “كريستيانو رونالدو” مهاجم نادي النصر السعودي، مفاجأة من العيار الثقيل حول مستقبل شقيقها مع منتخب بلاده، حيث أشارت إلى أن قرار ابتعاده عن تمثيل البرتغال بات أقرب من أي وقت مضى، وذلك على خلفية الصدام الأخير الذي وقع بينه وبين المدير الفني جوزيه جيسوس خلال معسكر التوقف الدولي الماضي.

وبحسب ما أوردته وسائل إعلام برتغالية، فقد نقلت إلما أفيرو في تصريحاتها أن عودة كريستيانو رونالدو إلى المنتخب أصبح أمر صعب، معربة عن اعتقادها بأن الأزمة الحالية تركت جرحًا يصعب تجاوزه، خصوصًا في ظل شعور شقيقها بالتعرض للخيانة من جانب المدرب البرتغالي.

كما أوضحت شقيقة قائد المنتخب في حديثها أن الطرفين يشعران بالألم بسبب ما حدث، مشيرة إلى أن الوضع لا يزال متوقفًا عند نقطة الخلاف، دون وضوح بشأن إمكانية استعادة العلاقة لطبيعتها في الفترة المقبلة، ولم تقتصر كلمات إلما على الخلاف الفني فحسب، بل امتدت لتعبر عن استيائها وحزنها من أسلوب تعامل بعض الجماهير مع شقيقها، مؤكدة أن التاريخ الطويل والإنجازات التي قدمها رونالدو للكرة البرتغالية طوال مسيرته تفرض حصوله على تقدير أكبر، بدلا من محاسبته والتركيز فقط على ما هو مطلوب منه في الوقت الراهن.
