العين أولاً والهلال والوصيف في المطاردة
أسدل الستار على منافسات الجولة الثانية من بطولة دوري أبطال آسيا للنخبة لمنطقة الغرب، حاملاً معه الكثير من الإثارة والتقلبات في سلم الترتيب، ووفقاً لما أوردته وكالات الأنباء الرياضية فقد فرضت 4 أندية كلمتها مبكراً بحصد العلامة الكاملة والوصول إلى النقطة السادسة، بعد تحقيقها لانتصارات ثمينة منحتها أفضلية واضحة في مستهل المشوار القاري.
وأعتلى فريق العين الإماراتي قمة الترتيب منفرداً بأفضلية فارق الأهداف، وذلك بعد عرضه الهجومي القوي الذي أسفر عن فوز عريض على حساب القوة الجوية العراقي بنتيجة 4/1، وهذا الانتصار وضع الفريق البنفسجي في المركز الأول، متفوقاً بفارق الأهداف عن أقرب ملاحقيه الذين يشاركونه نفس الرصيد النقطي، وهم الاستقلال الإيراني والهلال السعودي وشباب الأهلي الإماراتي.
وفي سياق متصل، شهدت هذه الجولة تباين واضح في نتائج ممثلي الكرة السعودية الآخرين؛ إذ نجح فريق النصر في تذوق طعم الفوز للمرة الأولى في البطولة، ليحصد أول ثلاث نقاط له ويقفز بها إلى المرتبة الثامنة، وعلى النقيض تماماً، تلقى فريق الاتحاد ضربة موجعة على أرضه في مدينة جدة بعد تعثره أمام ضيفه شباب الأهلي الإماراتي بنتيجة هدفين مقابل هدف، ليتجمد رصيد العميد عند نقطة يتيمة تراجع على إثرها إلى المركز الحادي عشر.
وجاء الترتيب العام لأندية منطقة الغرب في البطولة على النحو الآتي:
في الصدارة ومراكز المقدمة بالعلامة الكاملة، يأتي العين الإماراتي في المركز الأول برصيد 6 نقاط، يليه الاستقلال الإيراني في المركز الثاني برصيد 6 نقاط، ثم الهلال السعودي ثالثاً برصيد 6 نقاط، وشباب الأهلي الإماراتي في المركز الرابع برصيد 6 نقاط أيضاً.
وفي منطقة الوسط والملاحقة، يتواجد الأهلي السعودي في المركز الخامس برصيد 4 نقاط، وبجانبه القادسية السعودي في المركز السادس بنفس الرصيد البالغ 4 نقاط، بينما يحتل نيفتشي الأوزبكي المركز السابع برصيد 3 نقاط، يليه النصر السعودي في المركز الثامن برصيد 3 نقاط.
أما في المراكز المتأخرة، فيحل باختاكور الأوزبكي في المركز التاسع برصيد نقطتين، والشمال القطري عاشراً برصيد نقطتين كذلك، يليهما الاتحاد السعودي في المركز الحادي عشر بنقطة واحدة، وتراكتور الإيراني في المركز الثاني عشر بنقطة واحدة.
وفي قاع الترتيب، لا تزال 4 أندية تبحث عن نقطتها الأولى في المسابقة بعد بقائها برصيد صفري من النقاط، وهي الغرافة القطري في المركز الـ13، والوصل الإماراتي في المركز الـ14، والقوة الجوية العراقي في المركز الـ15، وأخيراً السد القطري في المركز الـ16.

As for the late positions, the Uzbek Pakhtakor is in ninth place with two points, the Qatari North is tenth with two points as well, followed by the Saudi Federation in eleventh place with one point, and the Iranian tractor in twelfth place with one point.
At the bottom of the ranking, 4 clubs are still looking for their first point in the competition after remaining with zero points, namely the Qatari Al-Gharafa in 13th place, the Emirati Wasl in 14th place, the Iraqi Air Force in 15th place, and finally the Qatari Al-Sadd in 16th place.
