The Tunisian African club is going through complex technical conditions ahead of its upcoming match against Congolese TP Mazembe, for the calculation of the second round of the African Champions League, scheduled for next October 17. This long-awaited confrontation turned into a real headache in the head of the coaching staff, given the succession of impressive absences plaguing the core strength of the team.
This match is of great importance for the champion of Tunisia, who succeeded in passing the obstacle of djouliba in the first preliminary stage, to collide again with his Congolese rival after about seven years since the last meeting between them in 2019, and the team took advantage of the current international break to start an intensive preparation phase aimed at restoring the format of official matches, as the club heads to Libya to face Al-Ahly Benghazi amicably next Saturday at the Benghazi International Stadium, as a trial station to stand at the readiness level.
However, these preparations are taking place under great pressure from coach Maher al-Kanzari, especially with the aggravation of the troubles of the offensive line and the center, as the team was recently shocked by the decision of defender Yassin Merah to hang up his shoes and retire from football following a health setback in the knee, coinciding with the sincere striker suffering a muscle tear.
The troubles did not stop there, but the winger Hamza al-khadrawi joined the list of doubts after the physical preparer recommended the need to undergo a solitary rehabilitation program to restore his fitness, which threatens his participation in the upcoming matches, starting from the meeting with bin Guerdan Union locally to the two return matches on the continent. The physical decline comes at a time when the player is facing public criticism after he failed to score or create goals during his first five matches this season.
This series of absences is completed by the departure of playmaker Osama boukra, whose injury requires a complete rest for two weeks, which officially removes him from the canzari accounts in the next league Test, putting the team in front of a difficult challenge to find alternative solutions capable of successfully continuing the continental journey.
