Sports fans are waiting for the position of the Egyptian star Mohamed Salah to appear in the upcoming confrontation that brings together his Turkish team Trabzonspor with the host of the Finnish cups, scheduled to be held tomorrow as part of the competitions of the opening round of the European Conference League Championship, especially that the meeting will be held on a stadium with an artificial turf floor known as tartan.
The controversy surrounding the participation of the Egyptian player in this particular meeting comes based on a previous incident that occurred during the international break in October, when Salah was absent from accompanying the Egyptian national team in their confrontation against South Sudan, in order to avoid playing on the artificial grass pitch for fear of injury.
In light of these questions, the media directly asked Thomas Reese, the head coach of Trabzonspor, about the possibility of pushing Mohamed Salah in tomorrow’s meeting on the Tartan floor, which was quoted by the Turkish newspaper “haber 61” in its coverage of the press conference for the match.
“I know that this question is important for you, but it’s not for me, all the players on our list are ready to play, and of course, I can’t say whether I will involve Salah or not, we’ll see tomorrow, because I’m definitely not going to discuss the starting lineup at the moment, however, what I have to say is that all our players are ready and will do their best in this match,”the coach said in his statements.
