شهدت مدينة أوفييدو الإسبانية مساء الجمعة ليلة استثنائية بطلها الأرجنتيني ليونيل ميسي الذي أضاف إنجازا تاريخيا جديدا إلى مسيرته الكروية الحافلة.

واحتضن مسرح كامبوامور مراسم التكريم المميزة حيث توج أسطورة كرة القدم بجائزة أميرة أستورياس للرياضة لعام 2026. وأشارت صحيفة سبورت الإسبانية إلى أن الحضور في هذا الحفل الرائع تفاعلوا بحرارة شديدة مع النجم الأرجنتيني ومنحوه تصفيقا حارا وطويلا في لقطة مهيبة جرت أمام ملك وملكة إسبانيا.

وجاءت كلمات التكريم التي قيلت بحق ميسي واضحة لتعبر عن قيمته الكبيرة حيث تم الإعلان عن سبب منحه اللقب كالتالي: “نظرًا لكونه اللاعب الأكثر تتويجًا بالألقاب في تاريخ كرة القدم، وتقديرًا لمسيرته الرياضية الاستثنائية وموهبته المذلهة، إلى جانب جهودة الخيرية المستمرة لتعزيز فرص حصول الأطفال، الأكثر احتياجًا، على التعليم والرعاية الصحية، وكونه نال إعجاب واحترام الجميع بفضل مثابرته، تواضعه والتزامه بالعمل الجماعي، فقد قررت لجنة التحكيم منح جائزة أميرة أستورياس لـ ليونيل ميسي”.

وتعتبر جائزة أميرة أستورياس للرياضة التي انطلقت عام 1987 وساما رفيعا يمنح للأشخاص أو الكيانات أصحاب البصمات البارزة في الارتقاء بالرياضة وتقديم نماذج مشرفة للمجتمع. وبحصوله عليها يسجل ميسي نفسه كأول لاعب من قارة أمريكا الجنوبية يحصد هذا اللقب فضلا عن كونه أول لاعب كرة قدم ينالها بمفرده بعد أن كانت تمنح سابقا للفرق أو الثنائيات.

وتفاعل نادي برشلونة مع هذا الحدث البارز ونشر عبر حسابه الرسمي على موقع فيس بوك رسالة تهنئة جاء فيها: “تهانينا لـ ليونيل ميسي بمناسبة حصوله على جائزة أميرة أستورياس للرياضة لعام 2026، إنه تكريم مستحق بالنظر إلى موهبتك الاستثنائية التي تركت بصمة لا يمكن محوها، داخل ملاعب كرة القدم وخارجها، وهو ما جعل منك نموذجًا عالميًا يُحتذى به، وذلك بفضل تميزك وتفانيك في الرياضة، إلى جانب روح التضامن التي تتحلى بها”.

وأضاف النادي الكتالوني في بيانه: “لقد كانت مسيرتك المهنية عامرة بالنجاحات الباهرة، وشكّل فيها نادي برشلونة جزءًا أساسيًا من حياتك وقصتك، إنها علاقة وثيقة لا تنفصم، كما إنك تمثل جزءًا لا يتجزأ من إرث النادي، الذي سيظل دائمًا يشعر بالفخر بارتباطك المستمر به”.

On Friday evening, the Spanish city of Oviedo witnessed an exceptional night for its Argentine hero Lionel Messi, who added a new historical achievement to his busy football career.

The Campoamor Theatre hosted a special tribute ceremony where the football legend was crowned with the Princess of Asturias Sports Award for 2026. The Spanish newspaper Sport noted that the audience at this magnificent ceremony reacted very warmly to the Argentine star and gave him a warm and long applause in a solemn shot that took place in front of the king and Queen of Spain.

The words of honor that were said to Messi clearly expressed his great value, as the reason for awarding him the title was announced as follows:”due to being the most crowned player in the history of football, and in recognition of his exceptional sports career and amazing talent, along with his continuous charitable efforts to promote access to education and health care for the most needy children, and that he won the admiration and respect of everyone thanks to his perseverance, humility and commitment to teamwork, the jury decided to award the Princess of Asturias award to Lionel Messi.

The Princess of Asturias Award for Sport, which was launched in 1987, is a prestigious award given to persons or entities with outstanding footprints in the advancement of sports and providing honorable examples to society. By receiving it, Messi records himself as the first player from the South American continent to win this title, as well as being the first footballer to win it alone after it was previously awarded to teams or duos.

FC Barcelona reacted to this remarkable event and published via its official Facebook account a congratulatory message stating:”Congratulations to Lionel Messi on the occasion of receiving the Princess of Asturias Sports Award for the year 2026, it is a well-deserved honor considering your exceptional talent that left an indelible mark, inside and outside football stadiums, which made you a global role model, thanks to your excellence and dedication to sports, along with the spirit of solidarity that you have.

The Catalan club added in a statement: “your career has been full of great successes, and FC Barcelona has formed an essential part of your life and story, it is a close and inseparable relationship, and you are an integral part of the legacy of the club, which will always feel proud of your continuous association with it.
