The eyes inside the castle of “Anfield” are turning towards the developments of the physical condition of the French striker “Hugo ekitiki”, after the emergence of positive signs supporting the chance of a quick return to participate in the games, following his long absence since last April due to Achilles tendon surgery.
Reports issued by the French newspaper “L’equipe” revealed that the player has set his sights on returning to the green rectangle during next November, with the possibility of extending the readiness phase until December to ensure his full recovery without any setbacks. The young striker had recently gone to the USA to consult a doctor specializing in tendon injuries and follow the rehabilitation steps thoroughly.
Ekitiki has already started the light grass running phase as part of his treatment plan, after a period of solitary training at the Clairefontaine center of the French national team, with the aim of restoring his full competitive fitness before the curtain falls on this year.
The technical staff had decided to include the French striker in the team list to participate in the Champions League despite his long absence, and this approach came because of the confidence of the auxiliary staff in its ability to support the group and provide the technical addition by the beginning of January, while maintaining full caution and not rushing to set the deadline for participation.
