أتخذ مجلس إدارة النادي الأهلي قراراً حاسماً بالاعتذار عن عدم خوض منافسات كأس السوبر المصري المقررة مطلع نوفمبر القادم، ليتأكد غياب حامل اللقب عن النسخة المرتقبة التي تستضيف أربعة فرق.

وجاء هذا القرار بعد تعثر المفاوضات مع الاتحاد المصري لكرة القدم بشأن آلية تنظيم المسابقة ومسار مبارياتها، وتحفظت إدارة القلعة الحمراء على خوض البطولة عبر بطاقة الدعوة الذهبية، وطالبت بتعديل اللائحة الحالية لتحديد مواجهات نصف النهائي من خلال قرعة مفتوحة، بدلاً من النظام المتبع الذي يفرض على صاحب البطاقة الذهبية مواجهة بطل كأس مصر، في حين يصطدم بطل الدوري بحامل لقب كأس الرابطة.

أمام تمسك مسؤولي الجبلاية بلائحة البطولة القائمة ورفض فكرة إجراء القرعة، حسمت إدارة الأهلي موقفها النهائي بالانسحاب من المنافسات، وكان من المنتظر أن تشهد البطولة مشاركة كل من الزمالك المتوج بلقب الدوري، وبيراميدز بطل كأس مصر، والمصري البورسعيدي الحائز على كأس رابطة الأندية، إلى جانب الأهلي الذي حصد لقب النسخة الماضية عقب تغلبه على الزمالك بهدفين دون رد في المشهد الختامي.

The board of Directors of Al-Ahly club has made a decisive decision to apologize for not competing in the Egyptian Super Cup scheduled for early next November, to confirm the absence of the title holder from the upcoming edition, which hosts four teams.

This decision came after negotiations with the Egyptian Football Federation on the mechanism of organizing the competition and the course of its matches stalled, and the management of the Red Castle reserved to play the tournament through the golden invitation card, and demanded to amend the current regulations to determine the semi-final confrontations through an open draw, instead of the system that imposes the owner of the Gold Card to face the champion of the Egyptian Cup, while the league champion clashes with the holder of the League Cup.

Faced with the adherence of jabalaya officials to the existing tournament regulations and the rejection of the idea of holding the draw, Al Ahly management decided its final position by withdrawing from the competitions, and it was expected that the tournament would witness the participation of Zamalek crowned with the league title, pyramids the champion of the Egyptian Cup, and the Egyptian borsaidi winner of the League Cup, along with Al Ahly, who won the title last edition after beating Zamalek by two goals without reply in the final scene.
