The training session of the Portugal national team, which was held on Tuesday in the Swedish city of Malmo, witnessed the absence of captain Cristiano Ronaldo and the duo Joao Felix and Francisco Conceicao from group training during the first quarter hour allocated to the media.
The newspaper “ojogo” pointed out that Conceicao suffers from prior muscle discomfort, while the real motives behind Ronaldo and Felix’s departure from the start of the open training were not revealed, and for its part, “Canal 11” explained that the Portuguese star came down to the green rectangle in sports uniforms before the start of the class, exchanged a short conversation with coach Jorge Jesus, and then left directly towards the locker room.
These developments come at a time when the team is preparing to meet Denmark in Copenhagen on Thursday, to calculate the third round of the UEFA Nations League group stage, and Jesus had received a question from media representatives in front of the residence about his dialogue with Ronaldo, especially after the player remained on the bench throughout the previous Norway confrontation, to just reply: “I talk to Cristiano Ronaldo every day and every minute,” the captain reacted to journalists ‘ inquiries while boarding the bus with a smile and a positive gesture with his thumb, without making any additional statement.
