Al-Ahly club is witnessing a state of tension and attraction regarding the renewal of the contract of defender “Yasser Ibrahim”, in light of the player’s adherence to a specific financial estimate corresponding to a reservation from the red management seeking to maintain the salary cap within the team, in conjunction with the entry of external clubs on the negotiating line.
The crisis began with Al-Ahly submitting an official offer to give the player 25 million pounds a fixed annual salary, with the allocation of an additional 10 million pounds associated with advertising contracts, incentives and tournaments, and for his part, Yasser Ibrahim expressed his desire to stay but objected to this division, demanding to merge the two amounts to make the total contract (35 million pounds) per year as a guaranteed basic salary without linking it to variable items.
The player’s request was met with a categorical refusal from the club’s officials, who confirmed their commitment to a strict financial policy that does not allow breaking the contract ceiling to avoid provoking strife inside the dressing room, and this situation extended to the refusal to grant the defender any exceptional signing bonus to compensate him for the previous offer he received from the Saudi youth club with an annual salary of about 1.5 million dollars.
The management now considers the current offer final and non-negotiable, the same situation as his colleague Mohamed Hani, so that the renewal step remains completely dependent on the players ‘ decision, with the entry of his contract approaching its final months by the end of the current season, Yasser Ibrahim has the right to sign for free to any club next January.
