The Egyptian professional clubs association has decided its final position on the fate of the Zamalek-Assiut oil match scheduled within the Egyptian Premier League competitions, after news circulated about the possibility of postponing the meeting because it contradicts the journey of the Continental team.
According to an informed source, the Zamalek club management had submitted an oral inquiry to the league officials to find out the extent to which the match scheduled for October 20, scheduled to be held at the Army Stadium in Burj Al-Arab, could be postponed, or simply transferred to the Al-Salam Stadium in Cairo to facilitate team movements and avoid stress.
The move by the White Castle came in light of the pressure of the calendar and the tight time difference before and after the two round of 32 of the African Champions League against the Rwandan army, where the first leg will be held on October 16 and the second leg on the 24th of the same month. However, the Association clarified its full adherence to the previously announced schedule, stressing that there is no intention to postpone the meeting or change the stadium scheduled for it.
