Real Madrid sent a strong and direct message to its rivals in the La Liga race, after sweeping their guest Sevilla by four goals to one, in the exciting confrontation that brought together the two parties on Sunday evening at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium as part of the meetings of the ninth round of the Spanish league competitions.

The match began with mutual tactical caution and constant pressure from the owners of the ground to break the defensive conglomerate of the Andalusians, and the whites remained in control of the scoreboard until the thirtieth minute, where the young Turk Arda Guler received an elaborate pass from his teammate Yan Diomande on the edge of the penalty area, to launch an incredible shell that settled the net announcing the first goals of the meeting.

Real Madrid did not give their guests a chance to catch their breath, as Diomande returned to make the second goal brilliantly in the thirty-seventh minute after putting the French striker Kylian Mbappe in a frank solo that finished the latter confidently inside the net, to take the royal to the half-time break with a comfortable lead with two goals without reply.

The hosts continued their dominance during the second half of the meeting, and the team got a penalty kick in the sixty-third minute, Kylian Mbappe took it and translated it into a third goal with a wonderful touch in the famous paninka style, scoring his second personal goal of the evening.

The last minutes witnessed some excitement after Manu Bueno narrowed the gap to Sevilla, scoring the honorary goal of his team at the eightieth minute, but Yann Diomande refused to leave the field without crowning his remarkable effort, to conclude the festival of goals by scoring the fourth goal of the Royal, confirming his team’s entitlement to the full three points amid the celebrations of the Bernabeu fans before the upcoming classic battle.
