حسم مسؤولو النادي الأهلي الجدل المثار مؤخراً حول إمكانية التعاقد مع المهاجم الفلسطيني “أسد الحملاوي”، لاعب نادي يونيفيرسيتاتيا كرايوفا الروماني، لتدعيم خط الهجوم في موسم الانتقالات الشتوية القادم، وكانت تقارير إعلامية قد ربطت بين القلعة الحمراء وهداف منتخب فلسطين عقب تألقه اللافت وتسجيله 5 أهداف خلال 3 مواجهات فقط، وسط حديث عن رغبة الفريق المصري في تعويض رحيل مهاجمه وسام أبو علي.

وبشأن كواليس المفاوضات السابقة، أشار المصدر إلى أن اهتمام الأهلي بالحملاوي كان حقيقياً بالفعل ولكن خلال الميركاتو الصيفي الماضي، وجاء التراجع عن إتمام الصفقة آنذاك بعد مغالاة ناديه الروماني، حيث اشترط الحصول على 5 ملايين يورو للموافقة على بيعه، مما دفع مسؤولي الأحمر لصرف النظر نهائياً وإغلاق الملف، مع تحويل كامل التركيز في الشتاء نحو تدعيم الخط الخلفي ومركز قلب الدفاع.
