The management of Al-Ahly club put an end to the speculation and rumors that have spread recently about the future of the Moroccan coach “Hussein Amouta”, confirming its full adherence to his continuation at the helm of the technical leadership of the team, regardless of the outcome of the upcoming summit confrontation against the traditional rival Zamalek on Sunday evening in the sixth round of the Egyptian Premier League.
An informed source inside the Al-Ahly club confirmed that the officials categorically reject the idea of calculating piece by piece or linking the head coach’s career with the result of an individual meeting, no matter how sensitive, pointing out that the final verdict on the experience will be with the closing of the curtain on the competitions of the entire season.
The source said in his statements: “Hussein Amuta continues with Al-Ahly even if he achieved a negative result in the Zamalek match,” stressing that the overall assessment will depend on performance and results throughout the season and not based on a single confrontation, and explained that the team camp is witnessing a state of enthusiasm, optimism and a common desire among all to resolve the three points and continue to crawl towards the top of the ranking.
The fans of Al-Ahli Club are looking forward to the dissolution of the point partnership with Zamalek, as they each have 13 points in the second and third places after five rounds, behind the leader pyramids with 15 points, giving the Derby confrontation a doubly competitive character in the race for the top spot.
