The management of Real Madrid has moved urgently to file an official appeal against the direct red card received by the team’s star Vinicius Jr. during the recent Villarreal confrontation in La Liga. This is reported by the platform ” sports.yahoo”.
The sports media “Miguel Angel Diaz” reported that the management of the Royal Club decided to legally challenge the expulsion decision, despite there is internal pessimism about accepting the appeal or reducing the penalty, given the precise and critical details that the arena referee wrote in his official report after the meeting.
The details of the incident began in the 73rd minute of the match, which was decided by real with a clean goal; Vinicius celebrated by scoring the goal to enhance the progress, before the video assistant referee intervened “VAR”and directed referee Isidro Diaz de Mira to review a shot that preceded the goal, and replays showed that the Brazilian striker pulled the hair of Villarreal defender Nathan Saliba away from competing for the ball, resulting in the cancellation of the goal and the announcement of the red card directly amid widespread public objections in the stands of Santiago Bernabeu.
What further complicated the player’s situation was the referee’s recording of his subsequent actions in the report, as DiMera pointed out that Vinicius rushed towards him loudly and in an aggressive manner, forcing his colleagues to restrain him and remove him to calm the situation. According to the Disciplinary Regulations of the Spanish federation, contact without a ball is classified under the heading of “violent behavior”, which opens the door to suspension for a minimum of two matches and possibly more.
The big crisis for Real Madrid comes in the timing of this punishment; if he is suspended for two matches, the team will lose the services of his Brazilian wing against Sevilla and then at the upcoming Clasico against Barcelona scheduled for October 25, and after the final whistle, Vinicius was keen to contain the anger and sent a brief message through his official accounts in which he said: “I apologize to the team and the fans,” while coach Jose Mourinho was absent from the press conference of the match amid a charged atmosphere, while the sports community is waiting for the final decision of the disciplinary committee to resolve the fate of the player’s presence in the Classico.
