The board of directors of Bank El Ahly SC has finalized its official stance regarding recent news suggesting the potential departure of duo Ali Hamdy and Mahmoud El Gazzar to Al Ahly SC, ahead of the upcoming winter transfer window.
This decision comes following media reports linking both players to Al Ahly, as the Red Giants look to strengthen their central midfield and defensive line-key areas currently targeted by Al Ahly’s technical staff to reinforce the squad ahead of upcoming domestic and continental commitments.
Major General Ashraf Nassar, Chairman of Bank El Ahly, clearly outlined the board’s position, stating: “We do not oppose the transfer of Ali Hamdy and Mahmoud El Gazzar to Al Ahly. However, this is contingent upon receiving approval from our technical staff, securing suitable replacements, and receiving an official offer that aligns with the club’s financial and sporting ambitions.”
Based on the chairman’s statements, any prospective deal effectively hinges on Al Ahly fulfilling these requirements. Meanwhile, Al Ahly’s planning committee is intensifying its efforts to finalize winter signings to address key tactical needs in defense and defensive midfield.
