According to what was revealed by the Catalan newspaper “Sport”, citing the footage of the DAZN network, the Spark began when the arena referee DiMera returned to review one of the footage via video assistant technology, after the Villarreal player “Nathan Saliba” complained of being pulled by Vinicius, and meanwhile the Englishman “Jude Bellingham” tried to intervene to calm the situation and deny the violation, directing his appeals to the Bernabeu fans to support the team and pressure the referee staff to avoid canceling the goal.
The referee’s decision was decisive by canceling the goal and announcing the red card directly in the face of the Brazilian winger, which set off a volcano of anger inside the player, and according to the recordings, Vinicius shouted at the referee in amazement, saying: “Red?” No! No!”, Before he advanced towards him with great emotion, prompting his colleagues to immediately intervene and remove him to avoid aggravating the crisis, and the player did not stop there, but rather reproachfully repeated four times in a row: “Why Are you doing this?””, To which Bellingham bitterly commented: “This is no longer football, wow”.
The situation extended to the corridor of the changing rooms; the young Indrek tried to accompany his compatriot and calm him down, and during his exit Vinicius pushed one of the La Liga officials, an incident that was not recorded by the referee in his official report of the match.
Press reports issued by Sport indicate that the expected punishment against the Brazilian international may range from suspension for two to three matches, pending the final decision on the appeal filed by the Real Madrid management next Wednesday, and this scenario puts the Royal team in real trouble, given the possibility of Vinicius ‘ confirmed absence from the upcoming Clasico against Barcelona on October 25.
